    Hi
Had a crash the other day and its pretty much annihilated my front bumper and bonnet! the car already had a full titan body kit on it and iv got like for like mods with my insurance. im looking for quotes and the best place to go to discuss ideas i have for redesigning my VTR (not necessarily with the same kit) problem is i dnt have a clue where to start!
iv been on the uvworldwide website as theres a shop down the road from me and they quoted me £2275 + VAT!! doubt my insurance is gonna fork out that so need to get other quotes but not sure where to go??
Iv also been to a m8s garage who does bodywork/repairs/spraying ect and he said hed look after me i.e with the spraying nd fitting but i need to find the kit.
Iv been searching the net and found a D&m bumper i like but cant seem to find where id buy 1 from??
ill post sum pics iv been looking at and if any1 nos where i can get hold of a D&M kit ect or best place to go i.e quotes Plz post....

ill update as and when any progress takes place

You could always try these, I'm not really into the whole kitting thing though, but might be worth emailing them or something?

i bought the car as is m8 so not sure r.e the arches but as far as i no there part of the titan body kit ....

i still like the side and back of my car but the front sticks out to much for me plus not that keen on the bonnet but they both need replacing so trynna see if i can add my own touch to it by mix n matching bits.. also gonna change the headlights probally to some angle eyes/ halo, altho like the look of the ones on the pale blue one but still undecided lol

i love the skirts on the pale blue one
    is it a D&M kit?

Just get it quoted to get the VT standard kit put on, trust me no one likes kits these days you will struggle to sell it unless it is to some chav who will offer you £100 and 10 mayfair.
  23. #23
    dont forget the rizla
  24. #24
Bodykits have really had there day now, not surpised you can't find at kit to buy.
  25. #25
Not been on for a while but have finally started working on the car

    ...... update so far :

insurance paid out and wrote it of as a cat D so wont need to mention it on the log book

taken the front bumper off and will remove the "taxi" vent

    will take front bonnet of

    will change headlights

keeping rest of the kit (sides, back, spoiler)

    will get full respray

Question now is what kind of bonnet and front should i get??

thinking about going for the euro look?
  26. #26
Dimma front bumper is probly your best bet?

kitted saxo's arent really the "Done thing" anymore,

but if your happy with the scene, thats all that matters!!

what sort of budget are you working too?

Dimma front bumper, and maybe a carbon fibre bonnet? thats what i would do personally.

cheers pal any ideas where i should start looking?

as i said i like the back and sides so just need to work on the front and bonnet, ive been looking around and the euro look and the cleaned look apeals. Might try and combine them sumhow and created a half bread lol

Budget wise: Im not in any rush so skys the llimit (to sum extent)

was also thinking of dropping a 106 gti engine in at some point aswell
  28. #28
Dimma fronts are slightly wider then standard, and a hella lot more smooth looking, but has big fog lights - expect to pay between 50 and 200 for the bumper, depends where you find one really

Carbon bonnets are the sex, but dont really tie in with the euro scene, but im sure it wouldnt look silly.. CF is full of win.. expect to pay around the £400 mark

keep trying ebay or gumtree for the front bumper
bonnet either kamracing or streamline carbon is your best bet (if you want a cf one anyways)

plus getting the front sprayed up to match the car might cost a fair bit, unless your mate can help you out there

total your looking at spending around £600 all in, at a guess.. i just dont know

    Choice is yours tho
  29. #29
sell the rest of your kit, big kits fail on small cars spend the money getting it all smoothed lets face it the best looking kit on a saxo is the vt kit anyway
  30. #30
ive got a full demon kit here for sale here for £80 collected or £100 posted then you'd just need to get it fitted and sprayed as its in primer

That white saxo's front bumper is the standard VT front bumper, with the bars painted black

Dunno if you have noticed, but all the saxo's you have pointed out are Mk1

    your car is a mk2

(Just pointing out, incase you hadnt noticed)

    As for this:

it wouldn't work, as when you lift the bonnet you would have 2 tringles pointing out, would look weird
unless you attach them to the sides of the grill, but then im not sure how it would look, as the grill is inline with the headlights, adding bits over wouldnt be so smooth.

Not being horrible but it probably looks better after the crash. Go for something simple, only 5% of people like bodykits now, they're just lolable.
  51. #51
+1todapostcountyo. Any chance you could post all the images in one post, considering they were posted within seconds of one another? As Dano_vT pointed out your looking at mk1's. Perhaps step away from the kitted scene, and go back to the standard route with a full respray?

Personally i dont really care what "everyone" goes for as i want this car to be unique

also im not a fan of massive stupid body kits myself but im working with what ive got and from what i can see theres nothing wrong with the back

its just the front that needs changing

and also getting rid of that stupid vent on the roof

Apologies for the multi pic/post early will combine in future

also i understand mine is a mk 2 but i prefer the look of the mk 1's front with a few little tweeks

In order to get the eyelids i wanted do you think this Carbon fiber bonnet would solve the problem?

  55. #55
Consider yourself lucky you have ruined that bumper and bonnet. Do you have to lean to the right to see past it?
Go for standard or something close to standard because honestly most people will take the piss cos it looks wank.

lol cheers but as ive said the kit was already on it so it would be unfair to judge

untll you see the final result
  57. #57
yes the "Badboy" style eyelids on the bonnet work on the mk2, not so much the mk1s!

That bonnet would be ok, me personally, i prefer the bonnets with the open grill at the front, the smoothed off ones dont do it for me

Munkyboy is selling a "Badboy" style bonnet at the moment, which would be perfect for you... might be worth dropping him a pm?

I could talk about front end mods all day long, but most users on here probly wouldnt agree with me, like i said, i still have a soft spot for kitted saxo's (Not over the top ones or anything)

if you need help with idea's or anything, drop me a pm, and ill do my best to provide help / pictures and opinions
