Saxo vts Mk1 twin cam.
Have just completed the Caerwent rally and on the last 2 stages develop a vibration through the whole car even when stationary. Having a quick shifty in the engine bay for possible suspects, I noticed a sensor (one of 3) down by the oil filter had melted (left one from front of car).
could this be linked to the vibration throwing the engine out of sync??
Together with the overheating, the engine would cut out, but I believe this is just a safety cut out, this would allow the engine to start again after about a minute or so, but still the vibration persisted.
Any clues or remedies greatly received !
