MOT Fail

    ::face palm::

    So, I bought my saxo about a year and a half ago because I've always loved saxos, and I got it for a bargain price of £990. Then the insurance kicked in at £2600 a year. Ouch.

    Three months later I needed new brake pads, so that was £100ish down the drain
    Five months later I needed a new exhaust and catalytic convertor and manifold, that was £230
    Ten months later the head gaskets blew along with my radiator, so that came to another £300
    Eleven months later the thatchman alarm fucks up and I need a new alarm at another £200+.
    And now, fifteen months later, I need a new drive shaft and CV joints, some welding, some MORE new brakes on the front AND I need a new seal somewhere in my engine to stop it vomiting oil on itself like a paraletic scruff on a night out gone bad.

    Although my insurance has dropped to £1600 a year now.

    Oh and I need some more road tax.

    Brilliant.

    Welcome to the world of owning a Spaxo.

    I don't want to have it anymore. Someone take him away. Yes, him, he's called Kenneth.

    Are you letting a garage do all the work, or are you doing it some/all yourself?

    You could save some money and do the driveshaft your self along with the brakes ! I know the feeling well bought a VTS and have had to basically replace everything bar the engine.

    most of what it needs is just wear and tear items, just unfortunate it all needs doing at the same time, and a 100 quid for pads is well expensive, especially if they need replacing already!!!

    Wish I was a mechanic! I've only had my VTR a few weeks and already needed new coil pack/ plugs and rear axle! Luckily I know a mechanic who's agreed to do anything else I want done privately My EM light also has a mind of it's own.

    That is a lot of money you've splashed though.
