the other day i started to hear a horrible screech high pitch noise, coming from the front left side of my car,,, but over the last few days the noise has begun into a grinding noise and also as my gf describes it vibrates the floor, i can also feel it under my feet while driving but it seems to be more vibration on the passenger side... just wondered if anyone had any ideas what they think it could be ?? thanks adam

#2Possible causes for this could be:-
1) Worn outer CV joint or dry of grease.
2) Wheel bearing.
3) Bent disc.
4) Worn brake pads.
5) Loose brake caliper bolts. -
#3sounds like wheel bearing.

#4thanks
right just had a quick look under the car- which is quiete hard as the car is 60mm low at the front. but ive noticed that the rubber thing thats on the drive shaft that connects to the hubs that covers something which i kinow inside has aload of grease, well the metal clip that holds it on has snapped and now have grease all on my wheel
now as you said above it could be down the the grease as it looks like its all come out and must have dried up or something
is it a case of needing a new one or get a new clip and bung aload more grease in. just worried it might of done damage ahhhh, :s thanks
