Gear knob trouble

   This may sound stupid but im finding it really hard to remove my standard gear knob...it wont budge!! Is there a special way of doing it? would appriciate any help...thanx!

   stick it in 4th gear, stradle it, and pull like fuck! then smash your head on the roof

   you can chop it off aswel.thats what im going to do.Always the easy option for me

   lol i pulled it like fook and smacked my head on the roof too at first i thought id pulled the whole gear level out of the socket cos it make a loud pop noise lol
   
   
   Had to cut it down aswell cos my hand kept hitting the dash with new knob fitted, so that was a mission too sweated like a pig

   mine came off easily, put it in 4th and pull. poped off nicely after some great force

    after a lot of tugging it eventually will come off.
    
    after mines was off i had to chop away at the plastic underneath to actually get my gearknob to fit . so the chopping option is probably easiest IMO.
