Important! : 3 Driveshafts???

   Right i put a 16v in my vtr about 2 months ago, i am currently running the vtr box.
   However since i have had the engine in, i have gone through 3 driver side driveshafts.....everytime it goes in the same place. the metal casing bit that the 3 big bearings sit in...?
   
   Any ideas people? i am thinking about getting a new shaft and putting my vts box on?

   Could be faulty parts... They should have warranty or something on them?

   Evoloution Tuning did my first 2 when they engine was done. How ever its not hard is it, so i did the last one myself....
   
   and all parts have been 2nd hand. But i dont wanna fork out £80 for a brand new one for it to go again...

   I'd get 1 brand new one before you eat your way through 5 old ones for the same price if not more!

   faulty shafts mate i done that conversion 2 yrs ago ive drag raced mines nearly once a month at crail raceway im still on the standard vtr shafts and mines has 140bhp with a vtr gear box to

   what is the difference betwwen the vtr and the vts gearbox? if i do a engine swap will i only need to change engine wire loom and ecu ?

   yes seemingly the final drives are different but i havent really noticed a difference between the gearboxes as quarter mile times average the same but people on here will argue that lol

    my wee brother has been running a 1.1 gearbox on his 106gti for 2 yrs and seems the same no difference either i think this will prob open a can of worms with ppl that will argue lol
