Important! : Failed MOT

  1. #1
    Failed on:

offside headlamp aim too high and too far to right (should be case of a quick fiddle)

abs light on (apparently needs scan to find out problem, are there any common problems i could check first?)

brake load sensing valve linkage seized (case of un-seizing it with wd40 or something?)

If anyone knows where and how to do any of these things would be great help as can't live without the car for too long lol

hi! ABS light is more than likely down to a wheel speed sensor.. get it on diagnostic for the full shabang.. chances are with the valve you might need a new one but it can depend on how bad it is.. not 100% sure on that one to be honest

my brake valve was sized(the one on the back axel) when i went to tmsport they just got a big pry bar and ping! 2 seconds later it was done lol just need to oil them

Another thing, on way to my MOT test centre their is one of those green camera's which my mate says checks for valid MOTs and Tax and stuff, is this true? Because i don't want to get a fine for no MOT since its legal to drive the car if i am taking it to a test station (or thats what the garage told me)

drive a different way to the garage if your paraniod!!! use backstreets
  8. #8
you wont get a fine if you have an appointment to a garage just tell them this if you get a fine through and appeal

As above, I got a fine for no tax but as it was on the way to pr booked MOT I just told them and it wa sorted right away. Bloody traffic wardens - he was a right c&@t to so I was double chuffed.

Don't need tax or mot if you have a pre booked mot test
