This weeks plan-Engine bay complete- Pics

  1. #1
Firstly im hopin we get a few dry days so i can complete the following.....

    Shopping list:

    Lots of wire wool
    Plastic Primer
    Satin Black paint
    Yellow Brake Caliper paint
    High temp resistant paint- Black
    High temp resistant paint- Silver

gonna do all my bump strips in satin black using the first 2 items, front bumper needs a bit of the plastic sandin slightly to get rid of roughness

then do the brake calipers yellow and either buy new rear drums or sand down old ones and paint those (surface rust doesnt look pretty on it behind alloys at the mo)

Then ill take the wire wool to the engine bay and the odd component and use the high resist paint on engine and the yellow brake caliper paint shud b sufficient to go over the yellow metal in then engine bay

Ill take some Before pics and after ones aswel.

Wish me luck! Cummon weather be good to me!

lol tiny engine isnt it, itll be gone in a year or so when my insurance changes agen. its nice n cheap at the moment

took me about 3 hours to do. cudnt be bothered to take loads of stuff off etc, just wanted a quick clean up n spruce up the odd bit here n there. Dont think its really worth showin off the engine at any meets lol

the plans to transplant engine in about 18 months time so ill gut the thing then anyway n do a proper job.

Havnt started on the bump strips yet, weathers been too wet n the garage is too narrow to work beside. plenty of time before FCS to get them done.

2 1/2 days till i pick up my new full leather interior!! wehey thats next to fit.
