no 1st gear

    just put a new cluth in my vtr , all the gears are fine except there is no 1st . gear linkage looks fine . doesnt make any difference if the engine is running or not, when trying to get first gear is like pushing against a brick wall, its solid.
    anyone help?

    IIRC on the back of the box there are two possible "balls" for the linkasge to fit onto. Check you used right one, should be able to tell by looking at it hopefully.

    btw if you can get first with engine OFF then clutch cable is to slack and needs adjusting.
