could anyone tell me what the difference is between a clutch release bearing and a bearing in a cluch kit-- are they the same, also whats the difference in a clutch bearing and a gearbox input shaft bearing

#3The bearing in the clutch kit is the release bearing. A bearing is needed because a it pushes againt the diaphragm to disengage engine from transmission it is also still turning. The input shaft bearing supports the input shaft - the input shaft is the one that fits into the clutch (attatched to flywheel) it's self on a spline.
