Saxo VTS engine question -

   Does anyone know if the alternator and starter motor of a 98 vtr engine be the same as ones on a 98 vts engine?

   starter motor should be fine but theres a variation in the alternators theres a plug type one and one that has two wires with rings on the vts one used rings as far as i can remember.

   mine has the 2x wires on it, but havnt got the vts ecu yet to check it

   vts alt and vtr alt will have different pulley spacing aswell, so the belt wont ride right.

   there are also 4 different types of starter motors for the saxo, get the 2 different engine numbers to find out if they'll be the same mate chances are they will be but you never know.... they were produced by the french so who knows what they were doing when they built these cars haha as i have found problems with m vts due tothings being put together in back to front stupid weird ways.
