How do I remove and replace the clutch cable?

I've looked under the pedals, it's such a tight space, I can't see how it all goes together etc, my Citroen service disk / manual is not working either so I have no access to blown up diagrams

i looked at the clutch cable today, it's definitely snapped, so it does need to be replaced, the problem is, the car's parked outside my house, I've been told i need to put the car on a ramp to do this, is this correct? can it not be done without putting the car on the ramp?

I need some help, basically I'm doing this myself on the road without a ramp, so far I've done this to remove the broken cable:

    1. I remove the battery
    2. I remove the induction kit / air filter box
    3. I move the loom wires to the side (cable tie them as sometimes they do come in the way)
    4. Loosen and undo the clutch cable nuts, once it had some slack, I unclipped it (self explanatory, easy when you see it all)
    5. Follow the clutch cable and pulled / unclipped it from the bulk head? be care if you do then, as I broke to maintaining clips for the clutch cable

I've managed to remove the broken clutch cable and it couldn't have snapped at a worse place:

the joining point of the clutch pedal clip!

Now, the problem I've run in to is that I don't know how to remove the existing broken clip still on the pedal! so to get a better view I:

    6. Removed the steering wheel
    7. Removed and loosened the steering column

Although this has helped a little in terms of what I'm looking at but still I haven't the slightest idea how to removed the broken clip of the pedal or how it actually clips on.

yes its a sod of a job .
,just make sure you get the outer cable located correctly where it goes through the bukhead --that is usual reason for cable breaking .
I suggest you get a torch and look closer nothing that complicated --just fiddly

Ok, I've managed to put it back together, I really don't know how....!!!!!

Anyway, I've adjusted it as much as possible but now the clutch pedal sits to high! not very comfortable to drive. Is there anything that I can adjust for the clutch pedal height?

which means you either have not adjusted it correctly or the outer cable is not in correct location
