1.1 box on my vtr

    Right guys i might be able to get hold of a 1.1 gearbox for my vtr (running a 1.4 box atm) as my current 1 is gettin a bit tired, now what i wanted to know is obviously the 1.1 box is shorter ratio... which means in 5th gear at 60-70 it will rev a bit higher, all i wanted to know is will it use alot more petrol? as im quite a tight fucker atm lol Cheers Lee

    Not a lot lot more, but a little bit more. At 60/70 it's at 3000/3500rpm...

    im running this on my vtr engine,not had chance to tell yet becuase the clutch is slipping its tits off grrr
