idleing problem

   when i start up the saxo the revs go up to 1500 and then drop but still above 1000 and is used alot of fuel what could be causeing the revs to be this high temp sensor ??

   could be numerous things, could be temp sensor but best to put it on the diagnostics to see if there are any fault codes and read the live data, see if what the sensors are reading is right.

   try giving the idle control valve a bit of a clean as they can clog up with crap i jus used some brake clean on mine

   could be the map sensor
