need spacers (size???) after fitting vtr wheels

    need spacers (dont know what size??? 10mm or 20mm)- rubbin rear right wheel after fitting vtr wheels help please =) btw... tyre size is 185/55/r14

    don't think you'd need spacers with vtr rims and 185/55's, are you sure theres not a back axle issue going on? especially if its only on the one side.

    take it you mean rubbing on the inner arch btw?

    Rubbing on the inside or outside?

    If its the inside then the beam has probably failed and the trailing arm has collapsed in...

    If its on the outside then the lip of the bodywork needs folding up flat or cutting off

    erm... i took it to a garage yesterday.. he jacked up the car and the right hand side from the inside rubbing... he told me to get spacers?? will that sort the prob out or would i have to do something else??

    spacers will hide the problem not cure it, as both of us said, sounds like theres a need for a replacement axle

    Try and get a picture of where its rubbing and we can give you a definate answer.

    It's either touching the inner arch or the bodywork/

    If it's the inner arch get your cheque book out because its time for a new axle...

    If its the body work then its 10 minutes with a pair of pliers and some elbow grease...

    Unfortunately i've had to do both now first the arch rolling on the 1.1 and now a refurbished rear axle for the VTS, just one of those things

    Wont need arch rolling if hes been told to get spacers as that would make things worse!

    well im broke so ill have to get spacers for now.... ill have 2 save up for new axle might as well get disc on the bk nw.. thanks every1

    thanks every 1.... so broke ill have 2 get spacers 4 nw..... ill save 4 new axle.. i might aswel get disc's on the bk nw...
