induction noise

   i have been seeing a red corsa SRi very standard no custom aftermarket
   exhaust etc.. but when he puts his foot down there is a nice sports
   noise coming from his car, does anyone know what type of induction
   kit he might have.. the sound is loud and sporty

   Thought the best for sound were open cones?
   
   I have a pipercross, it sounds fairly nice.

   Well the ProComps are louder than open cones and sound amazing, like throttle bodies haha

   the corsa does make a loud induction noise anyway and you can nock the bottom out of the airbox so it will be wank loud and it echos becuse half the airbox goes into the arch so thats why its soo loud. will be wank slow before 4,000rpm tho and not much quicker afterwards

   i have a k&n cone on mine and it sounds really nice when i boot it to 4500rpm it sounds like a turbo is kicking in haha sounds really nice. after reading a few threads on here tho it seems the cones are pretty shite as they take in alot of warm air.

    different makes off cars sound different with the same induction kit on them, as in if i put my k&N 57i induction kit on my brothers 56 plate corsa it will not sound lyk it does on my vts

    Saxo 1.4 with Piper-x sponge cone.. sounds like a V8 lol very nice sound when floored..
    
    4" Ashley comp backbox gives you some deep notes from the back too

    simota/raceland can make same "noise" as procomp,only difference is in the material
