Important! : Clicking Box!

   Any body have any idea what the electrical box is on the drivers side under the bonnet? i have a problem which is the car just clicks when trying to turn the engine on, the clicking is coming from this box, any ideas?

   imobilised mate
   
   have you done an engine conversion or chnaged the ecu or somthing?
   
   as its not reading the chip in the key anymore basicly
   
   also check the main earths on the gearbox aswell as mad as it sounds them being loose can cause this as i found out!!

   What is that electrical box then? no i havnt had an engine conversion or changed the ecu

   That is fuse,s for the car and a relay have you got a flat battery as stupid as it sounds .

   i presume you have checked its not just a flat battery lol? if not then as said thats all it will be and what i just said is no use what so ever lol
   
   byt yea this relay is the main ecu/fuel pump one and clicks when the car is imobilised and you try and start it

   its not the fuse box, its on the opposite side, but thanks for the help. I charged my battery fully up because i thought it was that too

   ahh it will be the relay under the ecu then as i said mate
   
   try unpluggin the battery for 30 mins and letting the ecu re set
   
   and also check the earths on tip of the gearbox somtimes these corrode over time and snap off as said this also gives the clicking sound and wont let the car start,was the case with mine

   the earths are fine so iv now unplugged my battery as you said for 30 minutes. thanks for the help ill let you know if it works. cheers

    Just tried it now and the clicking has gone but still not turning the engine over. guessing the starter motor is at fault?
