urgent!1

   just gone to start the car and when i turn the key the ignition comes on and then it makes a click and doesnt even attempt to turn over.. theres a light flashing on the dash looks like a square with a key going into it.. any ideas what this could be?

   i think that's the key code aint it, when i had a punto that light meant key code and the immobiliser was stopping it from starting. someone correct me if it is different for a saxo.

   take battery off for 30 mins let the ecu reset and see if it clears
   
   quite common this now

   iv just been out and tried it again and with the clutch down its started :s

   Clutch will make no difference to it - the transponder around the ignition barrel is starting to fail. This problem will only get worse I am afraid. Sating that though my car did it about 6 months ago (it actually started as well with the light flashing!) and has been fine since. Fingers crossed mate
