Bodywork Cancer

I have a bodywork problem on the passenger side door two spots of rust just above the bump strip...

Here's some pictures of the problem...

Any idea of the costs to repair this ?

if you no how to spray then you need to take of the bumper strip, sand down the rust with some rough sand paper (not to rough otherwise leaves scratches in paint) then use fine sand paper on it, primer, sanding inbetween coats then paint and lacquer

    Get a new door
    Bee cheeper & easier IMO

I agree with 3cott, it would be cheaper to get a new door.

But when this happened to my Escort, I used an orbital sander & a grinder to get rid of the rust, treated it, & then built it all back up again with fiberglass . Then just primed and topcoated it. Looked spot on when it was finished.
All in all took about two days.

not that I know of done a HPI check before I bought it.

I think the prevous owner were close to the sea, it's on the same door but at each side of it. Both doors look fine and shut well, the gaps are even.

Might get a new door but I don't see many two tones on the street to think there will be one stashed away in a breakers yards
