straw like stuff coming out the exhaust ?

   car is a pug 206.
   
   there seems to be straw like stuff coming out of the exhaust back box sorta like a horses tail. not all the time though. i removed the back box and the car is still the same. the car isn`t running right, its like its running on 3 cylinders. could it be the cat thats causing the problem ? but would that cause the straw like stuff.
   
   hope someone has an idea lol.

   the straw stuff is fibre glass mate its used in some back boxes

   as said some backboxs have that stuff in, but not many. if it seems like its only runing on 3 then check the coil pack dude

   Not cat, don't woory. The black straw/"witches hair" will keep coming out for a while, only change you will notice is slightly more more noise. Just keep yanking it out till it's all gone bud.

   Do you have throttle bodies?
   
   I have heard horror storys about throttle bodies sucking little girls into the engine when the throttle is fully open, so this may just be her hair coming out the exhaust
