oil filter clearance query

   How can you tell if your engine is the one with the oil filter clearance issue? I hear the one with no problems is the one with a screw in filter at the front.

   look at your oil filter, is it metal and horizontal or plastic and vertical

   metal and horizontal, run of the mill oil filter

   what manifold are you fitting?
   
   As your filter is fine for 99% of them - mk1 1.4 8v Westie? I fitted a raceland 4-2-1 to mine with no worries.

   Yeah it's gonna be aftermarket. So it doesn't need to be one of these mk2 special clearnece jobbies from piper or supersprint etc.
