   heys.....anybody know whats happening here...i was out earlier and when i floored it from the lights...lol... my engine management light came on and sorta lost all power and nearly through me through the windscreen...
   anyone got any ideas what could be happening........thanks in advance for any answers

   ive just done head gasket etc .....would that have sumit todo with it.....?

   how long ago, shouldnt really be flooring it soon after a HG. could be a lot of things though

   have done about 100 mile init since headgasket they were pretty easy miles aswell....just when i was out last night i took it up to 4k on revs and it sort of cut out....when this happened engine management light came on for about a second then went off...car drives perfect untill i go past 4k

   no one on here can tell you what the engine management light means... no one without a diagnostic computer will be able to tell you.
   
   why do people keep asking "what does my engine management light mean"
   simple answer...something is broke. get it tested!
   
   on the simple fact that you "booted" it from the lights, was the engine cold?
   id take a guess at it being a lambda sensor.
   
   
   i do offer a scan and turn the light off for 15 quid.

   kk np will get it to a garage tomoz.....but i would say that the engine was warm when i did it probably dun 20 mile before hand

   Probably coil pack. Same happened to me.

   managed to get it on diagnostics this week ...and after all that they couldnt connect to the ecu...checked all the wiring to the plug but all seemed ok
   proper stumped now any ideas where i go from here..
