Important! : Gear Stick Movement? What could it be?

  1. #1
My gearstick moves when I rev the car, I measured it and its about 2cm which moves from right to left and then back to its place once I let go off the gas. Also my standard backbox, pulls in and pulls out when I rev the car a little?

I bought new gear linkages from Citroen dealers and a second hand backbox, if that helps solve the case?

Im not really sure whats the problem? Anyone care to help?

    Thanks

sounds like lower engine mount real easy to change just need to jack front up so got room , wouldn't hurt changing gear linkages

Buy an uprated bottom mount, about £28.00, push old one out with block of wood and hammer and fit new one intop place. Dead easy job, great improvement when driving. Don't get to hung up on the gearstick thing it is attached to the engine after all and will move/vibrate a bit. All part of the citroen charm !

I´ve been told that "side to side" gearstick movement is caused by worn out gearlinkages, those 2 smaller ones...
