Is there a way to test whether an ecu is locked or not? Just that I have either two or three ecu's lying around and am clearing out, just wondering whether to flog them as locked or unlocked really
They were left over from when ross (RCDperformance) did a dissapearing act so they are mk1 ecu's but I now have a mk2. Not that theres any way I could plug them in to mine but can anyone suggest how/if I can test them?
Im guessing if I can just plug them into another mk1 saxo then the unlocked ones will work when I turn the key, locked ones wont.
If im right in saying this then does it have to be a similar car ie a vts...? Will changing the ecu fck up their clocks/mileage?
Cheers for any help
