Could you say for instance get a mk2 3 plug loom chop it off near the plug and wire a mk1 single plug to the other end so you cold put a single plug mk1 engine in a mk2 3 plug? This must be do-able but awkward. Basically an adapter to change from 3 plug to single or the other way round.
