Matt Black Bonnet

    The paintwork on my bonnet is seriously messed up it also has a decent sized dent on the front.

    Bottom line is I need/want a new one.

    So first question is, what are peoples opinions on having a matt black bonnet on a gloss black car?

    and

    could I be cheeky and just by a brand new bare metal black bonnet as its basicly the same effect?

    mines got a matt black bonnet. personally, i don't like the look on darker cars, just looks unpainted as it doesn't contrast!

    Agreed. My fella had a matt black bonnet on a dark coloured car (blue) for a while and it just looked unfinished.

    Gloss black on a car in a colour other that black would look ok

    I've got a matt black bonnet on my car, and I think it looks pretty good.

    The matt black you get on the bonnet when you buy new quickly fades after it's seen a bit weather/a few washes

    I had a gloss black bonnet on my wicked red sax for a while - quite liked it but after a while i decided it would look better back standard...
