Bleeding Brake System *** Quick Answer Needed - Post 5 ***

Need to do this at the weekend, how do I go about it?

Think I've got to worked out just need it checking:

Disconnect battery to prevent ABS being triggered.

Then do I disconnect the brakelines from the calipers or open the bleed nipples?

Then pump the brake pedal until all the fluid is out?

get a friend to help you

friend pushes brake pedal.. you loosen the bleed nipple.
wait for a moment while air is pushed out.. then tighten bleed nipple
    then friend releases brake pedal..

    repeat until brakes are bled.

work from the one furthest away from m/c... N/S/R, O/S/R, O/S/F then N/S/F

can either do the 10 pump method or do as mr kam said above..

another option are bleed kids if on your own but the old fashion ways are easier imo

Sorry guys was a bit unclear...

I want to completely drain the system to remove the rear calipers and change the front brakelines, won't flush it or bleed it until everything is refitted once the rear axle has been refurbed, I've brought an automatic kit for when bleeding comes along

Right I'm doing this in about an hour so need a definitive answer

I'm draining the system and leaving it dry for a few weeks...

To drain it should open the bleed nipples or undo the hoses?

I just pump the brake pedal then until the fluid is all out correct?

yeah that's it, if you remove the cap from the reservoir it will pretty much just fall out anyway

do it from the bleed nipples will completely remove all fluid
