Important! : noise comin from rear passenger side.

    hi, i have a 1.6 vtr, there is an extremely annoying vibrating/knockin noise which sounds like it is comin from the rear passenger side. it only occurs wen at slower speeds (slowing down n speeding up). i am in need of help identifying the cause asap!! any suggestions????? cheers

    mmmm the only noise i get from the rear is the boot as it makes a rattle sound which is very common in saxos

    It could be the centre exhaust pipe rubber hanger bracket too far over and fitting the footwell. It did this on my daughters car. All I did was angle grinded about three quarters of an inch off the bracket and no more knocking!!!!

    thanks 4 ur suggestions spare wheel is tite as it goes will check the boot and footwell and let u no how i get on. other suggestions will b gratefully received. thanks

    have taken spare wheel and rack off but no joy, boot is fine a cant c a prob with mid exhaust bracket. have had sum1 listen to it with the boot open and defo sounds like its comin from underside of rear end?? PLEASE HELP AS IT IS DRIVING ME INSANE!!!!!!!!

    Is there a heat shield fitted?? Sometimes these can work loose and create a noise, I know as my next door neighbours car can verify and its annoying outside let alone inside!!!!!
