new car big problem

  1. #1
Hi i have recently got a vts for a good price as the bodywork isn't great and it had a missfire so i bought a new coil pack but i found out today it not the coilpack which is the problem .
after doing a compression test one of the cylinders was reading 0 the other three were reading 220 psi how much damage do you think has been done i look forward to hearing back from you
  2. #2
depends on why there is no compression
  3. #3
i was told that if any valves are bent it would then loose compression

valves arnt expensive..its the job its gonna cost..or if u have a haynes manual u can diy it??
  5. #5
do you think i have got lucky and just bent a few valves its strange how it just went on one chamber though
  6. #6
sounds to me like a bernt out valve not bent have to take the head off and have a look
  7. #7
+1 i agree with a burnt out valve

thanks for all of your help could it have anything to do with a FSE Fuel Pressure Regulator which was fitted if it is a burnt out valve that means it should be fairly cheapish to fix then

could be that the fse has added to much fuel and bernt the valve out the valves are cheep its the time it takes that is the problem if u doing it DIY bonus if u not still going to cost a bit garages are expencive try to find someone a mate or someone to do it it will be cheeper
