266mm Upgrade

Would a 266mm setup with OEM discs and pads perform better than a 247mm setup with Mintex (M1144?) pads and OEM discs?

Sorry if this is a really nooby question

the bigger the disc the moe surface area the pads have on the disc and the long it takes to heat up.and the thicker it is the longer it takes to heat up so the 266brakes will not fade as much under heavy braking.

i would think that the main difference would be the size of the piston and if it takes bigger pads.

remember that whatever discs and pads u have 247 you can also get for 266 so go for it but save up and get decent pads and renew your brake fluid when u do it.
