Is my fan controlled by the ECU

    Right guys, i have a 106 gti 2001 3 plug ecu, my fan has recently stopped working when sat in traffic the temp gauge goes past 3quarters and the fan doesnt come on, is it controlled by the ECU? if so do i have to replace a sensor or something?

    would presume would be by sensor mate or maybe a fuse

    answered on 106oc, answer is yes, switched through the ecu, with info from the temp sensor for others
