torsion bar

    im goin to attempt my torsion bar soon and just wondering how you determin how low its going to be. how do i know when its going to be 60mm?

    so jack it up, take the wheel off, measure from the floor to the bottom of the disk, take out the damper and torsion bar and pust the disk up 60mm then put it all back together?

    well push it up to 65 coz it will drop 5mm when u stop pushing it up, when i did it i put 2 axel stands under the car and made a block of wood to sit under the disks at the right height i wanted then use the same block on the other side so you know there the same, will work if you have the axel stands equaly spaced and on level groud, eg. garage

    measure it from arch to lip on hub, on a vt standard is 400mm so just move the trailing arm up how ever much you wanna lower it buy. just make sure you measure before and after and you shouldnt go far wrong.

    I wouldn't use the floor as reference, could be slopped etc, much more accurate using arch, as previously mentioned.

    mayaswell remove the anti roll bar aswell
