Hubcentric Spacers

Right apparently I need 20mm spacers to fit my team dynamics pro race 1.2s onto the VTR. I have heard mixed opinions about spacers. Good or bad? Looked at a kit in Halfords (used to work there) and its just spacers with extended bolts.....isnt that going to put some worring extra pressure on bolts??? You can get hucentric spacers that bolt to the car first then wheels bolt to that but still not sure tbh! Plus I guess my locking wheel nuts arent going to fit anymore!

So, safe or not safe? And is there a solution to the locking wheel nuts?

get hubcentric spacers that bolt to the hub first. they are much safer and you can still use you locking nuts.

Basically hubcentrics are the best you can get spacer wise, they bolt onto the hub andthen the wheel bolts onto the spacer, which is far less strenuous on the bearings ect. Make sure you get citroen saxo specific hubcentrics
The standard universal spacers which include longer bolts are shit, they generally add more strain onto the bearing and cause some wheel wobble at high speeds.
The locking wheel nuts should be fine.
    Safe aswell btw.

i think its anything over 10-15mm and you really want the bolt to the hub ones hubcentric isnt where they get bolted to the hub on ebay most of them are sold as hubcentric because they have the lip on it so you dont get wobble

you have got the right fitment alloys right?

I dont know anyone using spacers with 1.2's they should be a direct fit especially on the VTR

They came from my focus (or will be) so ford fitment.....requiring 20mm spacers or some sort. So as far as I know yeah...
