OMP Lower Strut Brace + Apex -50mm Kit

  1. #1
Been offered a kit at half the RRP, with very little usage, ideally i wanted the -35mm kit to avoid clearance issues but find it hard to turn this offer down (providing its comes off, if not it will be a BNIB Spax PSX -40 kit).

Just want your experiences of the lower brace and -50 kits, its for a VTS if that makes any difference?

    Discuss.

    i have this combo...

i live in the middle of nowhere, and have to go through many lanes, and sometime to bottom out. and catch the strut brace, but its only mild steel and worth about £30, i see it as a sump guard, but it rarely catches...

    im also quite tippsy

Toyah's down 50mm on 15s and has a bottom brace. She hasn't had any problems with catching... even last night and we had shitload's of speed humps to contend with lol.

Considering trying one on mine at 60mm.

Apparently the lower brace is suppost to be fitted on vehicles lowered no more than 35mm.

    Do it, you'll love it

    That is all.

Why? If it's because of catching - well, it doesn't on Toyah's lol.

    As CHIP is saying:

Unless someone lives somewhere so bad with stupidly poor road surfaces or down a rocky farm track, then 50mm or even 60mm (if someone lives in a good area will be no problem)

Of course with speedbumps comes common sense, show down sufficiently and itll be fine.

That's what i thought and tbh wanted to hear lol.
As soon as i've sorted some 15" winter wheels i'm on the hunt for a lower brace. As i think with VTR wheels in the winter i might have problems with speed humps? (Have only one to contend with on the journey to work)

Cheers CHIP and willsy, looks like I'll stick with the -50 springs then

Hopefully the deal comes off now
