plastic dipstick reading

   anyone else have major issues trying to get a reading off these??!
   mine is reading loads of oil because it all just smudges when you draw it out after wiping

   its a design flaw with these shitroen saxos. mine smudges too

   Mine was the same - annoying. Check round some local scrap yards as some 8V's had all-metal dipsticks.

   my dipstick is broken god knows how the previous owner did it...
   but i'll be on the lookout for a metal one now...

   Plastic end snapped off? Crap design - very common.

   My dipstick is all metal on my vtr and for some random reason i discovered another dipstick jus lying in the boot. so i have a spare if someone wants it.
