saxo 1.1 1998 oil sump, gasket or sealent

   hi, as title says is the oil sump on a saxo 1.1 1998 a gasket or sealent? think have an oil leak from their or around that area so will look at sorting myself at the weekend. if not the sump gasket where could the oil be from?

   It's a sealant.
   
   Could be crankshaft oil seals.

   nice one cheers mate,just hoping its not linked to head gasket, there is a little bit of mayo stuff in oil but doesnt over heat,no smoke and rad water fine, mechanic mate said mayo could just be condinsation as car is only used for short journeys.
