Dials die and air bag light flashes

   Lately my sax has just randomly had the air bag light flash and then the dials die. The rev counter,speedo temp and fuel all go to zero but the car still runs fine. The problem is intermittent I've checked the connections with the pre tentioners and taken the air bag relay out and re fitted it but this problem still happens

   id recomend taking your dials out and checking the connectors.

   That's a big hassel could it be anything else? How do you know if a relay is broke?

   I had that problem occur when the alternator started to fail... So it could be alternator problem or a buggered wire connecting to the alternator.
   
   Or it sounds very much like an earthing problem.

   Same problem mate .. Turned out to be the alternator .
