diagnostics plug.....

    hope someone can shed some light..... went and had diagnostics done on my vtr the other day and after all the hassles they told me that they couldnt connect to my ecu to give me a list of possible faults im experiencing.....im now absolutly stumped where to go from here.........has anyone got any ideas that could possibly solve this issue..?

    ive checked as much of the wiring to the plug and all looks to be ok...

    most decent diagnostics will connect to the plug, thats never really the problem normally

    but if your after diagnostics drop me a pm, im not too far from you, and i hae diagnostics at my house, i can connect to your car if you like? ive done it on many other cars in the area, lee_vtr1, aron and alexbB on here have had it done by me/my dad and my cammed vtr used to be done weekly lol as the light was always on

    if your interested drop me a pm, i would charge 25quid and is usually a good 40quid from mst garages i think

    Sounds like bollocks that most of the VERY basic diagnostic machines connect to saxo's, possibly the garage didnt no what they were doing for some reason. Go see vtr_chris90, i also charge the same price to do it so thats definatly a fair price.

    yer thats very true what tom said
    alot of garages are proper tight arses and just buy cheap shitty equipment that doesnt read all cars and dont have the correct pplug as theres a few different ones tbh

    but also holdawayt you sure its definatly bee removed? you looking in the rigth place? its really odd it hs been removed, try having a good look around that area and wherefusebox is as it could have been just moved some where else maybe

    There's a brown plug behind the glovebox pointing towards the floor, we tried various diagnostic plugs and nothing was reading from it so we didnt think it was that!

    it was a pal at a garage that had done it for me and i know it wasnt a cheap diagnostic sure was snap on......he does them quite frequent so im sure he knows what his doin......
