Hi guys,
Before I start, I know this is a very common fault - couldnt find any specific answers.
I have a mk2 vts with a magnex system with decat, enclosed green filter, and have now recently fitted a 4-2-1 manifold.
The car has been idleing weird for the past week or so, and today cut out, then when I started it up again the idle was very rough - sounded like a heartbeat! I disconnected the battery to reset the ECU and the car seems to be running fine again, however I want to prevent the car idleing rough.
I was wondering, I think the car is running rich, so I have got a sleeve for the lambda from GMC. My car only has 1 lambda sensor which goes into the manifold, not 2 like most mk2 vts's.
If I fit a blanking plug to the manifold and put the sleeve on the lambda, will the car run a bit better??
Also, the car has just had a full service, oil, filters, plugs (gapped properly) etc.
Cheers
Chewy
