Important! : Power stearing..

   Didnt even think my car had it (mk1 1997 VTR) untill i looked under the bonnet, the holder has fluid in, but the power steering obviously doesnt work.
   ANy suggestions how i get it to work, or how much it costs to get it fixed?

   check fuses and relays
   
   relay would be about £10 if that.
   
   although the pump itself may have gone, £20 from the scrappy/ebay

   Or the supply or return pipes may have hairline cracks in them. Mine went the other day due to the steering rack rubbing a hole in the supply pipe - it's a result of lowering the car.
   
   And like frankie said, check all fuses, relays and the pump itself

   I dont know how to check them, i would have to take it to a garage as i dont know anything about cars
