VTS oil breather - sealing

   One of my oil breathers is loose (the 90 degree elbow barb which connects to the pipe which goes to the sump) - I can literally pull it out and I get a little bit of oil seeping out occasionally.
   
   What's the best thing to use to seal it back in? Got some gasket sealant lying around - would that do the job?

   could try and get on of those fancy earls fittings...
   
   but sealant is free and the fittings are about £25 lol

   Would need to tap the hole out for one of those. Just wanna seal it up so nowt is leaking out.
