Weak Brakes

   Hi All
   I have just bought a 2000 (V) Saxo Diesel. The brakes seem to be very poor, I have to stand on them at 30mph to stop the car. Any suggestions?

   decent pads and new discs. fliud change and ta da.

   Get some good discs and pads i changed mine yesterday got a pair of mintex discs and pads.
   Make sure you bleed the sytem well and there no air in the break lines breaks should be spot on mate.

   when properly maintained I've never had a problem with them..
   
   They're not over servo'd like more modern cars but they are more than capable of stopping the car.
   
   fresh fluid as that deteriorates over time and then while doing that look at the pads / disks
