Power Steering Woes?

   HI All
   When I turn the wheel while the car is not moving (yes I know that I shouldn't!), the power assistance seems to wane after 1/2 a turn. any ideas?

   may be a leak somewhere or a damaged motor. Best to check over all the lines and rams for leaks. Then will have to check the pump
