Unfasten the bolt either side on the top, 2 bolts total, 10mm IIRC,
Make sure the breather is unfastened and any plastic bits that may be attached,
Lift away, job done

According to your info, you have a VTS.
First you need to remove the coilpack cover. (Black plastic bit with citroen badge on) 6 Torx bits hold that on. (T20 possibly :s)
Then you can remove each coilpack cover. 8 torx bolts on each iirc....

you dont need to remove the coilpack cover. i didnt have to when i took my covers off to gasket seal it. but yeah its simple enough to do just remove the bolts whip em off jobs a gooden.

And how did you manage to get to half the bolts with the coilpack cover sitting on top of them?

the coilpack doesnt cover the full bolts so it was just a case of put the torx bits in and turning them. once the bolts were out i lifted the the rear cover up about half an inch then had to pull it out simples.

Lol, not heated at all.
But I can't see how you can remove the rocker cover bolts without either damaging or removing the coilpack cover.
