   Just bought a car off eBay but found out it's been sitting doing nothing for 8 month, well before the MOT expired on it so I'm a bit suspicious. Seller hasn't said there's owt wrong with it though.
   
   I've got to drive it to an MOT station nearer to where I live which is a bit away - how long should I be test driving it for? Has anyone else had problems with there saxo cos it ain't been driven for a bit?
   
   Gonna check oil/water to make sure head gasket aint gone first.

   get it warm fella, look for smoke when you start it, take a look at google at what to look for for a guide

   you have the right idea. just do basic checks before you start up the eengine - engine oil, coolant, might want to get the spark plugs out and see how they look - this indicates the car's fuel/air mixture.
