How much would it cost me to go to a garage and pay purely for the labour to fit a drivers side driveshaft? I was going to get it all done by them, but i think it will be cheeper to get the part myself and get them to fit it?? Just after rough ideas, or tell me how much you payed? Thanks

#4Get a second hand drive shaft for £25 and fit it yourself!
Literally need, 3 sockets and a hammer! -
#5its really easy to fit them yourself, i bought a second hand one for £30 and any garage ive been to never charges over 50 quid to fit it
-
#6and a ball joint seperator set to make things easier but as said its pretty easy to do yourself as long as you dont have the driveshaft hanging when fitting it as it will cause more damage to the cv joints also be careful when putting it in the box watch the seals you cant really go wrong though

#7I got mine fixed under warranty, they gave a price of £227 in total. That was at a Volvo garage so it will b cheaper at an independent one

#8thanks for the responces. I have bought a brand new drivers side driveshaft for 42 quid, got a quote for 36 quid at the garage to fit. Usually i would fit things myself because i like to learn my car as i mod it, but at that price i wont take the risk and get a pro to do it

#9i got a n/s driveshaft for £82 but when you give them your old one back, they give for £20 back so £62, i fitted it myself, it not that hard to do really

#10i got my driveshaft replaced for £130 and that was with them supplying the driveshaft which cost £70.
