  5. #5

so what do i do to sort it out
  6. #6
how would i go about buying a new centre pipe ... and i just noticed there must be a section missing because there no flange any way
  7. #7
Looks like a CAT back, so you need a CAT or decat pipe attached to the front of it.
  8. #8
were would i get a decat pipe to fit ...
  9. #9
as lee says, you'll need to put a cat in or a decat.

you should have the cat from your old system, so id just whack that on for the time being

    there are cheaper ones though
  11. #11
eBay or the for sale forums on here. Pretty sure all 8V CATs are the same length, so as long as the pipe fits an 8V with CAT under car you're fine.
  12. #12
i dont evern no if my car is 8v lol i dnt do engine work lmao
  13. #13
lmao, take your spark plugs out and it should be written down there if its 8v or not

    hehehe.
  14. #14
lol ok will any decat pipe for a saxo fit it ...
  15. #15

  16. #16

  31. #31
lol to me looks like the cat is missing mate, go buy one or a decat pipe and thats 1 problem sorted, and as for the hangers, get a plate welded over and a hanger made up. simple
  32. #32
i have desided against getting a decat how much diff will cat back be part from not having to change it for MOT's

will a cat back be cheaper than decat

because you have a new problem every day, it makes my saxo seem reliable. I just think that a project like this should be taken on by people who know what they're doing and not somebody who doesnt know if their car's an 8v or 16v.

please dont think i'm having a dig at you, i'm really not. I have a lot of respect for people like you who do so much to their cars and learn a lot.

your posts just amuse me i'd say the best thing to do is find an exhaust that fits.

    Tom
  35. #35
lol that was the idea i wanted to learn about the car
  36. #36
fair play, when i was 6 my dad bought me and my brother a ratty old fiesta mk3 and cut the engine in half to teach us how it all worked. since then we've rebuilt 5 classic cars and serviced our own. (i'm 19 btw)

is your car mechanically sound? If i were you i'd concentrate on getting the car running exactly how it should be and then start with the bodykits and exhausts etc.
  37. #37
yerr every thing is sound on it passed mot perfectly was abosutly nuffin wrong with it the moter said its the tidyest lil car he had in 4 a while woop
  38. #38
I dont get why your car didnt have a cat on the standard exhaust anyway, Shurely if you have just bought this mental exhaust then you have your old one dont you?
  39. #39
just use your original cat pipe? wtf
  40. #40
the origanl cat pipe was welded to the centre section ...
and i mean full on wleded
  41. #41
    you have 3 options mate:

    1. get a de-cat pipe and fit it.
    2. get a new cat section either brand new or second hand and fit it.
    3. just leave the exhaust you had on before and start looking for another exhaust system.
  42. #42
    LOL just L O fucking L
