URGENT! Car won't start!

    Right this is for my brothers car, its a little pug 106.

    Basically the headunit kept losing its settings so i changed the red and yellow wires over, powered it up and tuned the stations in etc. Then i pushed the headunit back into the dash, turned the ignition off, turned it back on to double check and nothing, no power....

    So i thought F*CKS SAKE, so i tried the central locking and nope wasn't working, then i tried to start the car and it ticks over but wont start!!

    any ideas?

    also the petrol and the mph gauge have gone up and stayed there even when the ignition is off!?

    Humm take the unit out and see if it works then, also check your fuses

    Yea i've unplugged the headunit totally now, checked the fuses under the bonnet they seem ok and the ones under the glovebox i haven't checked all those but i dont see how that would stop it starting? it ticks over asif it wants to start

    id check all the ones underneath could of touched some metal with a wire and shorted it out mate , im not sure if its different on the 106's cause the saxo's is in the engine bay but there is a fuel cut off switch some cars are located around the are possibly behind the head unit as if u crash it will turn off causing fuel not to be pumped through and as its there there is no worry of it being switched back on have a look mate

    Check your main fuses and check all your earth's first.
