Really tough clutch

Basically i was just wondering if it was just a general thing with saxo's, My clutch is really tough, and i practically have to stomp it in to change gear lol. If this isnt a common thing is there anything i can do to soften it up. And no before anyone asks im not really a competent mechanic, so could this just be a job for an actual mechanic? lol?

    Thanks Guys

Well im banned until wednesday but i have to move it the other day (In a private car park, Not illegal. lol) And i realised the clutch was really stiff and was abit worried as to weather it could be on its way out or whatev? But then one of my mates said that it might losen up when it's running on a daily basis.

do you mean that the actual clutch is difficult to push down or do you mean that when you change gear, you have to ram it into the gear? coz my clutch is easy to get down but when i change gear, i find that 2nd and reverse are really tough and i have to pull hard

i know what you mean, its normal but you get used to it yes!

even worse when you have driven a hydrolic clutch car for a while then get back into one lol
