Grinding!!

Hi guys just noticed a grinding noise coming the front of my car when I have the brakes on extremly lightly. I thought it could be the pads but they all seem to be fine. The mot was only done last week so i cant imagine it being anything major. Any Suggestions????

sometimes the rim of the brake disc has a raised edge and it scrapes the backing plate of the pad- even though there is still some pad left. Solution is to fit new discs. Just take it to ATS or similar to check for this.

If its that thats the problem then new pads will fix it, but you wont get full wear out of your pads, and you might as well put the discs on while the wheels orf?

A quick and easy fix is to take the wheels off get a mate to rotate the disc and run a small flat blade screwdriver around the edge of the disc taking off any rust as you go(take care not to score the surface of the disc).
